Student filmmaker Director Benjamin Hunt presents "Peaches". Made at Chapman University's Dodge College of film and media art, this multi-award winning inspirational film depicting cause and effect. Told thru a beautiful collaboration of artists including an excellent performance by leading lady Martha Shaw, gorgeous cinematography by Scott Larson, and an amazing musical score by Charlie Sun. This team of talents take you on an emotional journey that tells the true story of the payoff of selflessness.
Told through the eyes of the innocent young Eliza(Martha Shaw), the only girl in her scout troop driven to be the best she can be in order to help others, must make an impossible decision during her troops local canned food drive. Director Benjamin Hunt beautifully utilizes the old adage of "less is more", choosing to focus more on the performance of his leading lady and the ambiance of his film, rather than any heavy dialogue or unneeded complexities. This approach works perfectly for this particular film by maximizing the overall experience of the audience and provoking deep internal moral questions.
